Many of us have been touched by cancer, either through our own
personal experiences, a friend, relative or co-worker. If you
would like get involved in joining in the race for a cure for cancer,
the Whitewater Relay for Life invites current team participants as well
as individuals who have not been involved to attend their 2007 Kick-off
Gathering.
The Relay for Life efforts are on-going throughout the year.
There are many ways one can participate. Prior to the event one can
become involved in mailings, helping with a float for the 4th of July
parade or working at a garage sale. There are many ways one can
work behind the scenes as well as at the Relay for Life itself. The list
is endless.
Help is always needed the day of the event. There is a
variety of ways one can volunteer their services that range from serving
as a greeter, handing out programs, to cooking pancakes. Perhaps you
could join a team and walk, form a new team with your neighbors, work
colleagues, or family. You can also support a team through your
donations. |
